Activated Resorcinol (4-BR) is a strong tyrosinase and peroxidase inhibitor. 4-BR works very well against hyperpigmentation including more complex pigmentation such as melasma. In more recent studies, 4-BR has proved effective in even rinse-off products – 4-Butylresorcinol was added to both liquid and solid soap formulations and showed significant lightening effects after only a few weeks of treatment
Activated Resorcinol is a safe and cost-effective skin lightener. In comparison to other well-known skin whitening agents, it is much more effective and provides good stability, especially in emulsions and other cosmetic formulations. According to currently available test data, the product is not showing any unwanted side effects. This product has excellent skin whitening, skin brightening, and antioxidant effects.

Applications: Can be used in creams, chemical peeling, cleansers, soaps, anhydrous formulations, lightening and whitening skin treatments, crème cleansers, etc.
Usage Rate: 0.1-2.0% (not more than 1.0% for leave-on products, leave on the skin)
Solubility: Oil and Dual Polar Solvents ( DMI) Avoid heat, as this may degrade the active. < 40ºC .
Storage: For long-term storage, Store in the refrigerator at a temperature of 6°C – 8 °C to avoid light and humidity. Can last for 2 years.
Activated Resorcinol™ is 4-Butylresorcinol, not Resorcinol, it is used in hair dye and FDA has not approved it for skin care use yet. It is safe for use on the skin, up to 2% for rinse-off products such as soaps, and up to 1% for topical products such as creams and lotions.
Activated Resorcinol™ is light sensitive. Finished products should be protected from light. such as packing the finished product in an opaque or dark airless bottle. Constant exposure to light will intensify the color of the formula.
