Description

Glycolic Acid is the simplest hydroxy acid. It widely exists in nature, such as sugarcane, sugar beet, and grape. It is a fruit acid with the smallest molecular weight. It can effectively penetrate skin pores, accelerate cell shedding, promote skin renewal, improve excessive keratosis, loosen and block pores, and keep pores unblocked. At the same time,

GA can also increase the content of hyaluronic acid in the skin, improve the water retention capacity of the skin, moisturize and nourish the skin, significantly improve the skin texture, and solve the problems of wrinkles, and black spots, acne, and so on.

Can be used in body wash, face wash, exfoliating creams, serums, toners, and more

It has a pKa of 3.6

INCI: Glycolic Acid
Solubility: water-soluble, add to the water phase
Formulating Tip: Increase pH using a base like sodium hydroxide/ Sodium Lactate
It is supplied at a pH below 2, and do handle with care.

Important: Do not use glycolic acid pure and undiluted; the solution is highly acidic and can cause skin irritation and burns
