Citric A. can lower pH levels if they become too alkaline. It also contributes to product stability and extends its lifespan. It has chelating properties that enhance the efficacy of preservatives and antioxidants. Citric A. provides skin cleansing and anti-aging benefits. It acts as an exfoliant, removing dead skin cells for a smoother complexion. It also protects against free radical damage and tones the skin. In shampoo formulations, Citric A. improves hair appearance and manageability by reducing frizz. It can also fade colors in hair rinses.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
To make an acid pH adjuster, use the formula below
Phase A: Water 70%
Phase B: Citric acid 30%
Mix phases A& B together until the crystals are completely dissolved. Pour off in a sterilized bottle.
To adjust the pH, add a little bit of the solution at a time while checking the pH.
