Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides (often called MCT oil in cosmetics) is a highly stable, lightweight emollient made from medium-chain fatty acids.
It improves spreadability, reduces greasy feel, and gives a clean, silky finish in both anhydrous and emulsion systems.
It is especially useful when you want a “lighter oil” feel in face oils and body oils, or when you need a stable carrier oil for oil soluble actives and antioxidants.

| Pro Tip | Use this as a carrier to dissolve oil soluble actives and antioxidants before adding them to your main batch. In body butters, adding 5–15% can reduce drag and improve spread. In emulsions, it improves slip and reduces greasy after-feel without making the formula too thin. |
