Vanilla Fragrance Oil is a perfume blend designed to give a rich vanilla aroma in cosmetic and soap applications.
It works beautifully in lotions, body butters, scrubs, shower gels, liquid soaps, bar soaps, and haircare bases.
Vanilla profiles can deepen over time, and some grades can cause slight yellowing or browning in light colored formulas, so plan your colour strategy early.

FORMULATION GUIDELINES

Solubility	Oil soluble. Not water-soluble. Needs a solubiliser for clear aqueous systems.
Use Rate	0.2–1.0% in leave-on body care. 0.3–2.0% in rinse-off products. For soaps, close to performance and local limits.
pH Stability	Generally compatible across common cosmetic pH ranges. We recommend testing in your target pH, especially for surfactant gels.
Temperature Tolerance	We recommend adding in cool down (below 40°C) to reduce volatility and scent loss.
Vanillin Content	Typical: 0.5–5.0% (grade dependent). Higher vanillin increases yellowing/browning risk in light coloured formulas.
Pro Tip	For clear shower gels and liquid soaps, pre-mix the fragrance with a suitable solubiliser, then add slowly with gentle mixing. If your formula hazes, increase solubiliser, reduce fragrance load, or adjust your surfactant ratio. For creams and butters, expect a gradual colour shift if vanillin is present. Use an appropriate colour plan (tinted base or amber packaging) for a cleaner shelf look.
