Optiphen™️ Plus preservative from Ashland Specialty Chemical is a paraben- and formaldehyde-free preservative that offers broad-spectrum protection against mold, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. It also has a wide pH range, excellent heat stability, and easy solubilization in water.
Optiphen™️ Plus preservative is best suited for slightly acidic personal care products and works best in formulations below 6.0 pH, but it has also been proven effective at pH levels above 6.0. In formulations with low emulsifier concentration, vigorous stirring is advised.

Appearance: Colourless to yellowish liquid
Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place. If stored at temperatures below 8°C, it may solidify; if solidification occurs, gently heat to 40°C and mix well before use to guarantee homogeneity.
