| Pro Tip | If your panthenol is supplied as a gel blend, dose based on your supplier’s active strength (for example 50% or 75% active) so you hit the true “as active” level in the formula. Add slowly with mixing to prevent localized thick spots, then mix until fully uniform before you adjust pH. In hair conditioners, panthenol pairs well with quats and fatty alcohols for better softness and slip without heaviness. |
