    L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is an important nutrient that acts as a powerful antioxidant, scavenging reactive oxygen species and other free radicals to protect the skin from oxidative stress. It promotes collagen production by cross-linking and stabilizing collagen molecules, upregulating collagen genes, boosting transcription of the tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase 1, and encouraging fibroblast proliferation. is a powerful antioxidant that both protects and brightens the skin.

    Benefits of L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
