Sweet almond oil has a long history in Ayurvedic Medicine in its ability to restore and maintain, healthy, glowing skin. The cold-pressed extraction method yields a higher quality oil (more vitamins, minerals, etc) compared to extraction methods that use chemicals or heat.
Sweet Almond Oil is a useful oil for bath body oils. Its Rich Omega 6 fatty acid content makes it essential. This is done by mixing equal parts with a lighter oil such as Grapeseed, or Hazelnut Oil, and then applying it to damp skin will impart a healthy glow.

Tips for Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond Oil is prone to oxidation. You can extend the shelf life and deter oxidation by adding a small amount of anti-oxidant. We recommend either 0.5% Tocopherol, or 0.02% Rosemary Anti-Oxidant. Either addition will also improve the benefits of your almond oil and give it more skin-nurturing activity while increasing shelf life. If you store your oils in the refrigerator you may increase the opportunity for microbial growth because the resulting condensation adds small amounts of water.
